Giggling Hudson

UAH Duck Pond

After our shopping for swingsets, we stopped by the pond and fed the ducks. It was a beautiful day!
The keeper of the bread!
Hudson has the sweetest face - kissy cheeks!

Happy 2nd Birthday, John David!!!!!

John David was 2 on April 18! He will celebrate with his friends on May 3. Grammy and Pops want to buy the boys a swingset/fort. So we have been looking and checking them out. Our sweet daughter-in-law, Emily, has really been doing her homework with checking out reviews and the best deal. Yesterday, we went and let John David play on some that were on display. I think we've decided! More pics coming - when it lands in John David and Hudson's backyard.

Papaw Gossett

On Sunday, we had our monthly church service at HarborChase. This picture means so much to Scott and I, because this is one thing that Jim loves to do - SING! For the past few weeks, we have noticed a decline and the nurses have changed some meds, hoping it would help, but it hasn't. Last week he wouldn't even sing with his group. So after some med changes, he seems to be leveling out and he SANG yesterday!
We strolled around the building yesterday. It was a beautiful day! May God continue to give grace to all.

I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane!

Mama and Papa left Friday on their Riverboat cruise with 3 other couples. They are cruising down the Snake River in Oregon. We heard from them on Sunday and they are having a ball!
(I got tickled thinking about this song (Title to blog entry) - I guess it's an "oldie" now! Can anyone finish the line?)

Garden Time!

Mama and Papa have planted their garden. They have tomatoes, squash, peppers, eggplant, onions, romaine lettuce and cucumbers. They can watch it grow right outside their bedroom window.
Botanical Garden had a plant sell and we picked up a few more plants. They beat me - they "caught" a ride on a golf cart shuttle!
They're growing! - these are David and John's trees planted in their honor about 15 years ago at Botanical Garden by Mamaw and Papaw Gossett.

Baskets and Birdfeeders

These are the wastebaskets we've been making in Basket class. Dad is filling up the birdfeeders. We have some pretty finches and red birds. (I'm going to stop by a bird place today and pick up some "cat repellant" we have seen a cat around and a few days ago we found a bunch of feathers at the bottom of the feeder!) The best viewing station is Mama's garden window.

Strawberry Pie Making!

Yesterday, Monday, Mama Ward demonstrated Grandmother Franks' Strawberry Pie at a ladies craft day at church. Ladies could come at 11:00 or 6:00 and "make and take" a pie! We made a total of about 20 pies. It was fun and the pies were yummy! Local strawberries are suppose to be in next week - that will make them even better! Scott has driven Mama Ward crazy with asking for these pies!

We had a tester come by!

Excuse me, A mom has to speak

Seth didn't want me to take this, but this was the morning his name was in the paper for the first time. He had a triple and 3 RBIs. Good job, Seth!
His baseball team won the AREA. We're not sure why he is being carried, other than he is one of the youngest on the team, maybe? GO WILDCATS!

Surprise! We're here!

Mama Ward and I surprised Susan and went to Asheville, NC where Susan was speaking to her church ladies group at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly. We enjoyed it and Susan did an exceptional job!

Huntsville Botanical Garden

Mama Ward's Cousin

Delivering a car hood to a "neighbor"
Here's a 1962 car door.
Craig and Joan are Mama Ward's cousins from Denver, Colorado. They own a car parts(antiques) shop and just happen to be delivering some pieces to a collector in Huntsville and they found out we lived there. They spent the night with us and then made the call to make the delivery. The delivery was about 2 miles away from our house. We also took them on some sightseeing trips - rode around the Space & Rocket center, Huntsville Botanical Garden and Downtown. This is the beautiful 100 years+ old dogwood in the garden. It is very close to its peak.

Precious Hudson

Mama Ward's Brothers' Visit

George, Jean (use to be Saralee) and Freddy
George and Gladys have a grandson, Taylor, that lives in Huntsville.
Sunday Dinner! We had a wonderful weekend. I am always overwhelmed with my godly heritage and they are part of it. (Oh, my, after looking at the picture closer - what a dirty table - but the food was good!)

Easter Fun with the boys

This is a church Easter picture - you've got to be fast to get it! Isn't this just a precious family? We are so blessed!
