Seth's First Career Home Run

It was yesterday against Madison County. The neat thing about it, one of his best buddies, Riley, was pitching!!!
Proud Dad!
And grandparents!
Seth hit that homerun his first at bat. You can see the scoreboard and John as first base coach. This is Seth's single after his second at bat. For the homerun, the ball went about 350 ft. - between the scoreboard and the foul pole. We beat Madison County 4-2. We are proud of our Seth! (Look for more pictures, I was at the concession stand and realized the game had started - Seth is the second batter - so I walked to the fence and I saw all of it, just didn't get any good pictures. I looked beside me and there was a professional photographer taking pictures, so we will check his website!)

Fun, Fun, Fun

Today, John David, Hudson and Gigi went to Gigi's favorite place in Huntsville! More pictures to follow!

It wasn't until I played this again and asked John David about the "panda". Then I figured out what he was talking about. He saw bamboo growing and he knew that pandas lived/ate bamboo. Now isn't that amazing! He is so smart!!

Medical Miracle

I have to tell you my story! I am praising the LORD! For the first time in about 40 years - no glasses or contacts for me! Here's my story: Last summer I began to have trouble seeing and went to the doctor and for about 4 months he tried different contacts and each time I went back it was no better. It was during a visit that he said, "Which is better 1 or 2?". I had finally had it and I broke down crying (and really I'm not a weepy person) and I told him "Neither - I can't see it!" That is when he said, "well maybe that cataract is worse than we thought" and my reply "What cataract?" I reminded the doctor that I was only 50! So in November I had my right eye cataract removed and a toric lens put in. I have astigmatism, which is an irregular shaped cornea and I wasn't a candidate for the lens for both near sight and far sight. The toric lens corrected my far sight. The surgery was very tolerable and successful. Last month I went back and had my left eye checked and they said the cataract was ready to be removed. They gave me the option of doing Monovision - so now my left eye reads close up and my right eye reads far. (To add a little more interesting fact to my story, Scott has always had monovision - naturally. In grade school his teachers use to make him read with both eyes! But this story is about ME!!!) So as of March 8, I can see great! It is a little adjustment, but I had had to go without my left contact for about 3 weeks before surgery so I was already doing mono then. So as you can imagine, all those with glasses, I have been half blind and miserable for awhile so you can understand why I am so excited about this miracle! Just felt like I needed to let the world know - Sandra can see now - a blessing from the LORD!

Oh, My, What a Project!

Yes, this started off as simply changing countertops and quickly became a big job (about 2 weeks of mess)! But I am thankful for the beautiful update. All through the dust and dirt, I was looking forward to "putting the bow on" by placing my fresh pink tulips on a clean counter and that was done yesterday! Sharon, I need your input (and anyone else that cares) - I need a splash of color or something more. Just no more cutting or grinding! Open to suggestions!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
